Alex is a visionary, strategist + storyteller based in Southern California. After almost a decade in Chicago, Ott returned to her hometown of San Diego and has made waves as a creative entrepreneur.

Alex’s passion for food + hospitality has been poured into the underground dinner series she produces with longtime friend Fred Keller called The Blank Table. She runs a communications consultancy, Chrome City, with clients in both San Diego and Chicago. She has also served as co-host of San Diego Magazine’s podcast, Not a Parenting Podcast with SDM Publisher Claire Johnson. She is an avid LGBTQIA advocate and produces Drag Queen Story Hour as well.

After spearheading multiple successful ventures in San Diego, Alex is presently dedicated to curating unparalleled experiences in design and hospitality. Collaborating with renowned industry figures such as Paul Basile of Basile Studio and Jules Wilson of Jules Wilson Design Studio, Alex brings visionary concepts to life. Additionally, Alex collaborates closely with the innovative hospitality group Be Saha, led by founder Amar Harrag, shaping transformative brand encounters at esteemed destinations like Tahona, Wormwood, Botanica, and Farniente at The Guild Hotel.
